I have chosen an almond tree for Paul. I think he would like how exotic it is, especially given his love of travel and living in tropical climbs! It also fits his playful, nutty personality which I, like so many, adored. I am hoping the mild Cornish weather will stand this tree in good stead as it likes heat (still might be a test in England but I am optimistic!) For now it sits in a pot but I am looking forward to planting it properly when I have some land on which to do so. I plan to make a delicious dessert out of my first yield of almonds - ripe in the autumn apparently - to honour my lovely friend.
